ppl. something is wrong w ur fren here. I FOUND LESTER CHEE INSIDE ME. my appetite has exploded. i'm eating so much, i'm ashame of myself sometimes. let's recall....dinner last night at casuarina. for starters, i ordered a teh tarik, + a double egg prata, + a plain prata. no way i'm full. so 1 more egg prata.+ a teeny weeny piece of murtabak from lester. and i'm still not full! so 1 more plain prata!!but NO!!!i'm not full!so 1 more egg prata btwn me and lester. in total.1 double egg, 1 1/2 egg, 2 plains, 1 teh tarik for dinner.2 nights ago.

dinner was kfc prosperity meal or smth like dat. 1 tub of chicken for e family + a box of mixed treats like nuggets and popcorn chicken. my share- 3 chicken + lotsa mixed treats. lunch these days are scary too. usually i'll have trouble finishing even 1 plate of rice or mee. recently, i'm eating 1 big plate of mee goreng + share char kway teow w jerold.LESTER.PLS GET OUT OF MY STOMACH.IT AINT BIG ENOUGH FOR E 2 OF US.

sch life is so hectic. there's so many things i wanna blog about but i simply dun have time.

btw i went cycling in the end. and it was a pain in the butt (literally speaking) experience. it still hurts a little now. nevertheless, it was all worth it.

teachers in nanyang are crazy. they all think their subject is the only subject that their students take, and they give (me) inba amounts of hmwk. not only do is STILL not have a litespeed account which impedes me from acquiring my resources, all the teachers expect me to finish their portion of holiday assignments within a week. Thank God im ahead of others for econs, but maths phy and geog assignments are up to my neck already!! JIU MING AH!

told my parents im going night cycling and got rejected instantly on the basis of safety. i mean, even taking the bus is dangerous lah cos it will freaking crash.

I just think its ridiculous how i am old enuff to defend my country but yet i cant go night cycling.

or maybe they should write a letter to mindef to excuse me from NS cos in NS, ppl carry real guns arnd and that is dangerous. but they cant keep me at home either cos the windows might one day be blown shut and te gas suddenly turned on and thats dangerous.

Alr the second day in school. Not my ideal fleet of tutors but im not gonna let that limit me. Made a couple of new friends. Ppl like faith, karmun and hyeimun make me feel less old =) And there is always tay shuen lin the office clerk to have lunch with me whenever im outkasted. HAH!

lessons ended at 4.30 today and i headed home - alone. Then, i suddenly realised, i miss the 29th.

today my dad started a new phase in life. he is finally officially a cab driver. hah just pray things will only turn better from now.

and he was telling me he fetched his first passenger to a wrong location. kallang bahru instead of geylang bahru. meter went up to 7 but he only wanted to charge the passenger 5. Instead, passenger gave him 10, as ang pau for maiden trip. hah thats sounds like a good beginning.

unfortunately, this also means i'll be seeing him around wayyy less.. =(

ET breakaway camp was awesome. its really a pity i had to leave early for prom. ELIJAH rocks.

prom was great. the atmo was so high. could almost feel the NY spirit in the ballroom.

postprom turned from a private NY party to a NY-PJ party to as mass JC party. turn-up was like 150% of expected. i dunno whether i should be happy or sad. success or failure? in any case, sry to all those who did not have their utmost fun and thx all for coming..

Farewell Dinner with 29sc today. seeing them is like meeting up with a long lost relative from the far north. planning for potst prom is hectic and there are still so many things left to be done. i get back from the club at nearly 1am everynight, and morning i have to drag myself to the wash basin and get to work (almost late everyday) and i barely survive thru 8 hours of boring routine then its back to rushing around again.

why? cos i said: "i'll go the extra mile... for you."

damn. 4 hrs of bed time left. I need more brave souls around here....

Good Morning Singapore.

Just recently started work at deloitte. indeed its opens ur eyes to the hustle and bustle of working life.

the day starts off squeezing for the bus in the early morning. all dressed up in office wear, u feel a uncanny sense of professionalism. at the MRT, everyone grabs a free copy of either mypaper or TODAY. on the platform, u at least have to wait 2 trains b4 u get a space to squeeze into the carraige. there's a reason why this is the only time of the day when trains arrive every 2 minutes. everyone in the train seems to be heading for the same place. despite the serious lack of space, everyone still struggles to at least read the headlines of their free publication.

when the train finally arrives at raffles place, its like a sudden pressure realease as eveyone empties the train and either head up or across. nobody gets to swagger or saunter, eveyone brisk walks, the "3 second dash" is seen eveywhere. when alighting at tanjong pagar, the crowd is scary. ppl who were on the previous train have not yet all exited the compound and the load of the next train just adds on to the mess.

morning rush

the moment ppl tap out of the station, they split up into the different underground tentacles. from exit A to exit H, they are filled with the people who make the economy tick.

in retrospect, its amazing how ppl from all over singapore, from the various heartlands, all gather in one single sector. unhappy they may be to have tp be up so early, but these professionals are the ones who power our society. there is almost an unspoken unity in the air that says: i may stay in jurong, but i am singaporean.

Just felt led to be abit preachy today, sorry to the rest of you guys.

Wow. Think about that for a moment now. Many of us, when we seek God in prayer, we pray according to our own will. But we gotta realise, if our prayer isnt according to His will, nothing will happen even if the whole church prays together.

So time and time again we go back to God, asking Him to do this, and do that, and things are not happening, so u get frustrated and ask: 'Why is God not answering my prayers?'.

Dude, God answered, but He said No.

So before we get annoyed with God, we need to realise that God has a plan for us. If your heart is desiring what isnt in His plan for you, good news is, you'll never get it.

What Nick said impacted me, and i feel that its a important learning point for many of us, who get tired from praying and fasting but things are not happenning. Remember to always reflect on your prayer and align yourself according to His will.

wah stress!!

background story: i own a 3rd gen iPod bought 4 years ago. it has been my treasure and has seen me thru my darest and happiest times. no doubt its old. no colour screen, no video capabilities, touch screen function and 4 nav buttons are seperate from the click wheel. yeah u get the drift - its antique. its also been affectionately termed - "the grandfather".

Leading-in: over the ast one week, i notice the power capabilities of my grandfather dropping. it used to be able to last me approx 8 hours of listening on full charge (thats commendable for a 3-year-old electronic gadget). aniway, the last few days, my iPod can barely last the journey from home to school (<40mins). and after i switch it off, whatever power left magically dissappears. that means i am unable to listen in when im studying without being wired up.

situation: bothered by his poor health, i brought grandfather to the doc today. clearly a battery life issue; the doc told me "its very simple, you just need to change the internal battery @ $153"

me: *stun*

dejected, i left the clinic...

the problem: now, im in a dilemna. i have 2 options.

a) service the grandfather for 153 bucks and risk other complications arising, considering that its a 3-year-old gadget)

b) part with my sentimental feelings, pay 436 bucks for space and technology i don't need. (its 10Gb more than my current abundance of 20Gb and im not a visual kindof person), but definitely it would be able to last me longer.

so please, help me to make a decision. i NEED, not want an iPod. the nanos are too small for me.

its been a tough week. but fortunately get to have a bit of breather before it all begins again tmr. Sandcastle workshop at ECP was great. the castles were beautiful, and with a bit of crappy advertising, it all summed up. next week's gonna be better!

and i;ve been learning abit of the guitar.. thx so much to joel and chengsong. though its still complicated, i'll take my time to figure things out. heh. anw, i rate myself as fast learner! i can alr play 2 songs! (its only my forth day) so yay! Lester the guitarist!

mugging has drained whatever energy i have left out of me. i struggled to get to this site... anw, 3 more days to mid years and 130 days to 'A's... gosh... im gonna mug like i never mug before...

anw, just a short one about a conversation i overheard 2 nights ago.

i was on the bus home and at the seat behind me were 2 ladies chatting rather audibly. [i later realised they were about their middle/late 20s]. i did not want to be a buzybody, but they obviously made no effort in trying to keep their conversations to themselves, almost as though they were proud of the content of their conversation.

aniway, it din require me to pay special attention to be able to hear that they were complaining about their parents. one was crictising how "stupid" her father was in not knowing how to operate a cellphone that his children gave him. the other was complaining how "dumb" her father was when he did not know how to operate the VCR properly.

"__" signify acutal word used in chinese translation.

from what i could get of the story, she was giving her father instructions for the VCR over the phone, when she went out with her firends to party and forgotten to set the recording herself. knowing that her father isnt tech-savvy, she gave her father step-by-step instrctions on what buttons to press. when she came home, she found out that the vcr wasnt even turned on in the first place and she hollered at her father (yeah she seemed quite proud abt it). she even exclaimed that her father had "no common sense" to know that he should have turned on the VCR first.

to lady: IMO, it was obviously your fault that knowing your father isnt tech savvy, did not instruct him to turn on the power first. in any case, he is doing you a FAVOUR!, not a obligation. and if it the show meant that much to you, why din u do it urself in the first place! like hello, that guy's ur father, not ur boyfriend. it isnt like his duty....

poor father, the only mistake he ever made was in not teaching his daughter to respect and appreciate the elders.

i compiled, punched hole and filed up all my phy, econs and geog lecture notes today... whee!!! all my files all full already. damn scary...

wah geog is ultimate i tell u. i bought a new file (the huge type) just to put geog notes and readings only, and i though it was more than enough but NO!!!. some reading bo bian cannot squeeze alr have to put separately. and thats like only H1. my h2 econs and phy notes add together still less than geog.

to let u have a feel of how thick it is, if i take all the small perforated bits out of my hole punch and throw at u, it prob can make u unconscious.

hah ok jk, thats ultra exaggerated, but yeah, its still scary.. [i heard h2 geog students need 3 of those huge files]

st.james wit 29thsc and half of the rest of nyjc was fun.. and i initially thot councillors will be quite left out cos this party really aint conceptualised to celebrate council's success. but turns out we kinda stole the limelight a bit. the rest of ny must hate sc now. hah! but i still think we hyped things up quite abit. w/o 29th and 30th there, think things wld be different. its not a bad thing to be enthu siao-ons

though we walked in and waked out with the daylight still shining bright(no we din club overnight), it was still great fun. sweating it out on an overpacked dancefloor, freeflow drinks, sabo-ing ppl, seeing the teachers (trying to) poledance. its truly once in a lifetime. beats clubbing with anyone else (i think)

Today, as i read out her name, the 3 syllybus flowed so smoothly, the feelings of complexity behind it was totally consealed. The LT shook with cheers of jubilance. My hands were clapping vigorously. after some observation, i realised that the best way to identify singaporeanism is by observing ppl's behavior on the 3 public transport.

BUS:

1. seating on the aisle side of the seat, delibrately leaving the inside seat empty yet inacessible
2. standing right smack in the center of the aisle midway during morning rush hour, rufusing to move in nor let ppl thru, yet giving the "why is the bus so squeezy?" look.
3. chit chatting with the bus driver in a desprate attempt to distract his attention from the fact that u cant afford the bus fare.
4. acting like ur blnd so u dun have to pay the fare.
5. mothers insisting that their child are too young thus need not pay.
6. when tapping ur ezlink card once is never enough.

MRT:

1. at the station, a long queue is formd up by ppl waiting to gt their hands on a free copy of 'Today' or 'My Paper'
2. when waiting for train to arrive, delibrately standing at the door so u'll be the first to rush in.
3. leaning on the pole in the train, depriving everyone else of sth to hold on to.
4. standing right at the door when your not alighting anytime soon.
5. pretending to be sleeping when u see a pregnant lady step in.

Taxi:

1. trying to out-queue each other by standing higher up along the road.
2. flagging a cap 100m before a taxi stand.
3. taxi driver charging passengers even the 10 cents that jumped when the vehicle stopped.

thats as much as i can think of now. still proud to be singaporean? i am.

whoa... one full week since i blogged... Lester's getting LAZY...

okay... was at the new bishan library ALONE today. thx to qixiang ans shuen lin who both pangshed me for thier own partners after sakaeing...

REVIEW:

Aesthetically pleasing, strategic location. quite accesible.

inside: loooks cool and hip. unfortunately simply lack of study space. NLB should have known better that its gonna be a hub for SO many schs and there are gonna be lotsa ppl studying there. but they were measely with their tables. they should have set aside a sector and flood it with tables! aniwae, by the time i went there. the place was quite filled. youth sector was dissappointing: lotsa colours but not much useful space. useless science gadgets too...

after some unsucessful scouting, i found the perfect place to study;

THE TOILET CUBICLE! serious.

Advantages: Good lighting, VERY spacious (as its the only cubicle in the whole toilet), high ceiling, cooling and a comfy seat. no noisy girls gossiping in the background, no distracting chiobus walking past, privacy. (there was no stench and it was extremely clean!).

disadvantages: relentless autoflush recurring every few minutes, the only writing platform is your lap.

HAH! as u can see, the advantages entirely outweigh the disadvantages. dun belief? check it out urself. i almost took out my compre to do, but thought it was rather inconsiderate to other desperate shitters.

anw, went down to the childrens sector. which was ironically the most peaceful level in the whole library. not much kids, a few smart students. so i made full use of this small cushion chair and started doing my GP. budden it started to get crowded and girls seating near me started chit chatting. den more kids appeared... zzzzz.... heng got iPod....

on the whole: pretty small, collection looks promising. alot of cosy corners if u wanna relax and read, but certainly not much space if ur in for fulltime mugging. avoid patronising during after school hours /weekends / public holidays / pre exam period. However, if u wanna do some people watching, thats just the right time to go. lotsa secondary school girls! (GRINS!)

oh well i'd prob go back to the same location to study the some time soon. anione care to join me?

The day spent at SMU was great. though the forum got abit boring at times. it was certainly insightful and got me ALOT more concious about the impacts my small actions have on the environment.

EARLY morning 4am wake up to get ready to go sch... like WAH LEGEND MAN!

5am litad i WALKED to amk central just so i can catch the bus to sch in time to reach sch at 6. by that time the short distant buses haven evev start work loh...

reach sch, put in all the effort to tie up the banner nice nice, then CAT 1!! (eh for all u jargon idots, cat one means thunder with lightning)

so everything tear down and set up at the hall again..

anw the whole teachers day event went well, xept for a few small slight cock ups and the weather... oh well...

and 29 sc = 29 saikang Champions... looks like the saikang curse will forever follow me... wah today moved like 330 chairs and tables lah...

din even had time to visit the amk tchrs.. so met up with 4/5vers... for pool and dinner... and thats all loh... zzzz... but it was great crapping with clifford and all...

did a little mental comparison with their poly life and my life now... wah... jc really no life loh... but its ok! for its a short term pain for a LONG TERM GAIN!

wah today marked the end of Dr. bernard's 3 - day conference... so LEGEND! his sermons ah... WHOOO!!! realli opened up so many revelations... haven had such a wonderful weekend since such a long time...

talked to the sec 4s for so long on fri. though i was supposed to oversee training.. but i felt that my time was spent more productively with the sec 4s! jac, cheryl, karen and phoebe: SEE U IN NANYANG! =D

after that rushed off to church. me and Julius had to change in the cab! wah so legend. there was this poing of time we were both changing our pants(in the backseat) den i was covering my bottom with my no.4 top whilst changing, just then a truck approached on his side of the cab (cos truck high can see everything), den suddenly he just grabbed my no.4 top off me and covered himself, leaving me EXPOSED! WAH LEGEND OH~ heng my reaction was FAST and i already almost finished wearing my pants! julius next time u DIE.

now my home is like a hotel, leaving before the sun rises, coming back near midniht.. only coming back to slp... the rest of the time are spent either in sch or somewhere in singapore studying... zzzz... hectic man...

now its fei chang shi qi (risky period) all the life-and-death tests... now im reallly suffering with muy combined science background. well at least it earned my my a1 for o levels - but thats all... and my maths foundation is super shaky... im so gonna suffer with all the differentiation and integration... PROMOS how? seriously considering changing classes - if they allow me to. go to some h1 maths class and take h2 geog instead... haizzzz.....

i miss the carefree days in amk.

it just so great that during a certain period of time on friday and sundays, i get to forget all my troubles and the small nitty gritty things at the back of my head, and completely get lost in Him.. the feeling is just so relaxing and refreshing. but as soon as it ends, reality hits back like the recoil of the m16... damn - homework again..

ahh JC life SUX SUX SUX! but since i cant do anithing about it, i shall do sth about me! - that is to STUDY! wah lau... all the test coming up all over again... and nearly every teacher in nyjc is hot on my @$$.. even those who dun teach me! wah this is so legend.. eg a particular HISTORY teacher (i dun take history)

zzz im increasingly growing weak... im sick again... probably gotta give sch a miss... but im gonna make full use of my time!

by the way did i mention in my previous posts that i got a new phone? wee... finally got rid of the SE Z1010... wahah... now using N6280... and the best part - ZERO dollar! wahaha.. but upgrade my plan..

now that i have a TWO megapix cam with me all the time, u can loook forward to more crappy pics on the blog! (which means slower loading). eh that is provided i have time to upload them though.. photobucket quite retarded recently...
